JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Movement of the Upper Limb and Shoulder Laboratory (MUSL) in Penn State's Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct research under the direction of Dr. Meghan Vidt.

The Postdoctoral Scholar will be working as a member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to conduct research on the topic of musculoskeletal biomechanics. Responsibilities of the position include computational modeling of the upper extremity, model validation, biomechanical assessment methodologies, data analysis, and data dissemination activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a doctoral (PhD) degree in biomedical engineering or related field by the appointment start date. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in oral and written forms, as well as ability to work independently and with individuals from diverse backgrounds as a part of a team, are required. Computational modeling expertise in the OpenSim software platform is preferred.
