JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Yan Laboratory in the Penn State Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct independent research under the direction of Dr. Su Yan. Working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will conduct extensive research to develop biomaterials for various applications, including in vivo imaging, drug-releasing implants, and nerve guidance conduit.
Requirements and Qualifications:
The Postdoctoral Scholar must have a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline by the start of the appointment. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in polymer synthesis and cell biology.
