Carnegie Mellon University is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the chemical engineering department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by assisting with team-oriented research projects with extensive interaction with faculty, other researchers and graduate students.
Core responsibilities include:
Working in the Gomes research group on developing algorithms and strategies for faster optimization of complex chemical reactions.
Planning, coordinating, and distributing information for meetings, conferences, and publications.
Assisting with the development of new strategies for optimization and discovery of complex catalyzed chemical reactions using state of the art artificial intelligence.
Other duties as assigned.

You should demonstrate:
Excellent analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
PhD in chemical engineering required.
Interdisciplinary strength in catalysis.
A strong research record, documented by recent publications in top-tier conferences and journals.
Highly motivated and creative, enjoys working in a collaborative research environment.
