About the Opportunity


Responsibilities:
 

The candidate will work on research on developing attacks in mitigations in the area of trustworthy AI. Several directions of interest are understanding poisoning attacks in machine learning training pipelines, and developing privacy attacks and privacy auditing methods to understand the privacy leakage of ML models. The postdoctoral candidate will perform theoretical analysis and code development, mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research projects, work on paper submissions, and  deliver presentations.

Qualifications:
 

Demonstrates the ability to plan and execute research in trustworthy AI, including poisoning and privacy risk analysis. Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, attention to details, as well as training in research methodology and quantitative data analysis.  Previous supervisory experience desired.  Knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent. Experience with large language models is a plus.
