The Program Manager in Ohana Evaluation Service and Post Doctoral Training Program reports to the Director of Clinical Services

and is responsible for overseeing ongoing development and operations of Ohana’s Outpatient Evaluation and Psychology Post Doctoral Training Program.

The Ohana Evaluation Service provides thorough assessments and associated clinical recommendations for the mental health care of youth and families. The Program Manager will oversee the development of the Ohana Post Doctoral Psychology Training Program, in which post doctoral level clinical psychologists will receive a comprehensive clinical training experience in the areas of diagnostic evaluations and neuropsychological assessments, as well as exposure to different modalities of evidence-based treatments across the continuum of care at Ohana.

The Clinical Program Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • managing the intake and multi-tiered evaluation process, including collaboration with Ohana medical and clinical leadership on providing clinical recommendations for treatment and dispositions of patients referred to the Ohana Evaluation Program

  • collaborating with Ohana leadership on hiring for relevant positions,

  • providing mentorship, supervision, and oversight to the licensed and unlicensed clinicians within the Evaluation and Post Doctoral Programs

  • conducting staff performance evaluations

  • management of weekly diagnostic team meetings and oversight of evaluation staffing

  • providing direct patient care in the form of providing diagnostic and neuropsychological evaluations

  • oversight of the administration of screening and diagnostic tools, including the operational process, scoring, interpretation and feedback around their use.

  • collaboration with the Director of Evaluation Services, Medical Director and Director of Clinical Services on the development and implementation of new programing, as well as professional development initiatives for staff within the Evaluation and Post Doctoral programs

  • participation in data collection and review, including possible research activities to ensure validity and quality of outcomes.

Training in clinical evaluation, including neuropsychological testing as well as demonstrated ability to accurately assess children, youth and families is required, as is experience with management and supervision of doctoral level staff. The Program Manager may provide behavioral health education to staff, patients, and families and, when requested, to the community and other professionals. All team members at Ohana must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, innovation, quality of care and outcomes measurement, professionalism, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, flexibility, cultural humility, curiosity and comfort prioritizing safety and quality of care.

Experience 

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience practicing therapy with children, adolescents and families. Must have at least 3 years of supervisory experience within a behavioral healthcare setting of supervising doctoral level staff. Training and experience in diagnostic evaluation and neuropsychological testing is required. Training in either Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is preferred. Training in evidence based treatments for Substance Use Disorders (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy or Contingency Management) or Parent Management modalities (such as PCIT) is preferred.

Education

PsyD, or PhD in Clinical Psychology is required.

Licensure/Certifications

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

Will complete mandatory 5150 training by Monterey County to obtain 5150 certification and obtain 5150 Professional staff authorization yearly. Must successfully complete ongoing hospital required training as assigned.
