JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar under the direction of Dr. Sukwon Choi.
Job Duties:
Perform thermal property measurement and modeling of wide bandgap semiconductor epitaxial material stacks
Perform thermal imaging and modeling of wide bandgap semiconductor devices
Publish results in journals
Prepare reports
Present research outcomes at conferences
Mentor PhD, MS and Undergraduate students
Qualifications & Requirements:
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline as of the hire date
Experience in thermo-physical property measurement using laser-based pump-probe techniques
Experience in modeling of phonon transport within solids and across interfaces
Good interpersonal, communication, writing and documentation skills
This is a term appointment funded for one year from the date of hire, with a possibility of renewal.
