About the Opportunity
SUMMARY
The research group of Dapeng "Max" Bi at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, USA, is seeking highly motivated candidates for multiple postdoctoral positions. We are specifically looking for candidates who possess a strong background in theoretical and computational modeling of biological systems, soft matter, or statistical physics.
The positions will commence in January 2025, and we will begin reviewing applications immediately. We will continue accepting applications until all positions are filled.
If you are passionate about these research areas and wish to join a dynamic and collaborative team of researchers, we encourage you to apply.
We offer flexibility in the research topic for these postdoctoral positions. Our current research interests in the group cover a broad range of topics, including developing integrative biophysical models for collective tissue mechanics and studying glassy dynamics in soft and active systems. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on projects such as investigating multicellular organization in curved geometries, exploring the rheology of multilayered epidermal organoids, and designing amorphous mechanical metamaterials.
Furthermore, our group values collaboration and interdisciplinary research. As such, you will have ample opportunities to work with other experimental and theory groups not only in Boston but also worldwide.
We encourage prospective candidates to explore our recent publications, which can be found on our group website: https://dapengbi.com.
