The Department of Engineering and Public Policy (EPP) is a unique department in the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University which addresses important problems in technology and policy. We educate technically skilled students to be leaders in policy-focused research; we work on policy problems in which the technology matters.
JOB IS FROM: postdocjobs.oneVIEWCarnegie Mellon University is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Engineering and Public Policy department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by carrying out advanced independent research, and such other tasks as assigned to you.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Developing, evaluating, and disseminating decision-support tools for air quality management known as reduced-complexity models (RCMs) with a focus on developing nations.
Conducting research experiments within the predetermined research scope and methodology of department and university.
Collecting and analyzing data, including periodical/literature search and utilizing specialized skills in related field to analyze the collected data.
Other duties as assigned.

You should demonstrate:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Qualifications:
Doctorate degree required
Experience with air quality modeling, and preferably experience with both RCMs and chemical transport models (CTMs).
Experience working in developing country contexts is also desired.
