Job Duties
- Conduct fungal fermentation ( Monascus) experiments to develop bioactive compounds.
- Collaborate with industry partners in pharmaceutical and food R&D sectors.
- Screen and characterize new probiotic strains for functional applications. JOB IS FROM: postdocjobs.oneVIEW
- Perform microbiome analysis to support research objectives.
- Develop and optimize microbial production of functional materials.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments, including HPLC and GC, for compound analysis.
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication.
- Mentor undergraduate/graduate students and contribute to a collaborative lab environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Equipment Usage
- Laboratory Equipment for Fermentation -Bioreactor/Fermenter -Incubators (e.g., for fungal and probiotic cultures)
- Analytical Instruments -High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) -Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Microbiological Tools -Autoclave -Laminar Flow Hood -Microscopes (for strain analysis -ELISA Machine
- General Computing, Data Analysis, STAT analysis and Documentation -Computer
Required Education
- Ph.D. in Food and Nutrition, Food Science and Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with molecular analysis of gene expression, mouse/rodent colony management, Histochemistry
- Prior industry experience in pharmaceutical or food R&D sectors.

- Good communication and computer skills
- Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others
