The Post Doctoral Scholar will develop and apply state of the art methods in the area of antiviral pharmacology, virology, and immunology; generate data and analyses for broad spectrum antiviral drug discovery research; design and implement independent research projects focused on host-directed antiviral drug development; independently design and execute virology/immunology/pharmacology projects pertinent to current and future extramural grants and other lines of research; collaborate on other federal and industry funded research programs for continuous development and growth for the lab; contribute to supervision of students on behalf of Dr. Kwiek; stay up-to-date on relevant literature.
Additional Information:
Required: Ph. D in Microbiology or Virology, with research experience demonstrated by refereed publications required.
Experience in immunology, and virology, including work with human metapneumovirus and chikungunya virus highly desired.
