Job Description
This postdoctoral appointee will be working in the Engineering Assessments and Plant Control Group in the Nuclear Science and Engineering Division at Argonne National Laboratory. A postdoctoral position is open for a candidate with expertise and experience in machine learning, image processing and nondestructive evaluation for nuclear energy applications. Knowledge and experience in non-destructive evaluation of additively manufactured metals with pulsed infrared thermography is a plus.

Perform laboratory pulsed infrared thermography imaging of select specimens.
Provide training to visitors from collaborating institutions.
Collaborate with others to develop new research directions and opportunities.
Present and report research results and publishing scientific results in peer-reviewed journals in a timely manner.
Position Requirements
PhD degree completed within the past 3 years in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
Background in machine learning, image processing and nondestructive evaluation.
Experience in active and passive thermal imaging.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A strong record of publications that demonstrates productive research.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
