About the Opportunity

Performs basic or applied research of varying scope and complexity. Assists in the planning,  interpretation, and publication of research results and grants.  Ensures the laboratory is maintained and may exercise functional supervision over supporting research staff.  May be responsible for purchasing and budget administration.  May present research.  The appointment generally does not extend beyond two years.

Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics and/or Physics; interest in conducting research in high energy theory; be able to undertake substantially full-time research or scholarship; work under the supervision of a senior scholar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

The level and mixture of the duties may vary by position but typically include a combination of the following responsibilities.

1) 60% Assist in initiating, executing, and completing clinical reseach and experiments.

2) 30% Prepare and write research papers, grant proposals, presentations, etc.

3) 10% Train and supervise graduate students.
