Arts and Sciences | Chemistry and Biochemistry AdministrationThe Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar to perform independent research in Prof. Yiying Wu’s group. Wu’s group has been working on materials chemistry for energy conversion and storage. Post Doctoral Scholars are expected to take initiative in contributing to the design of novel organic and organic-inorganic hybrid materials and the understanding of their electrochemical and photoelectrochemical properties. Duties will include taking and analyzing data, presenting results at conferences/workshops, writing manuscripts to publish results in peer-reviewed journals, assisting with extramural funding proposals, mentoring students and supporting group activities through collaborative service work.
Qualifications:
Doctoral Degree in chemistry with specialization in materials chemistry or related area required . Demonstrated experience in organic synthesis, characterization of materials using NMR, single-crystal and powder x-ray diffraction, electrochemistry of organic or organic-inorganic hybrid materials are required.

The pay range for this job profile is $48,000-$60,000. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
