Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available in the Immunity to Bacterial Colonization (Hand) Lab at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh. The position will investigate mechanisms of how the intestinal microbiota shapes disease in animal models, specifically, Colorectal Cancer and Environmental Enteric dysfunction. We are looking for a recent or imminent Ph.D. graduate with experience in immunology and microbiology. Experience with flow cytometry, microbiota analysis, and microscopy is a plus but is not required. The successful individual will be a collaborative, friendly, and motivated individual who is comfortable working as part of a group as well as independently to explore their own ideas.
