Job Description
The University of Pittsburgh Department of OB/GYN and Reproductive Sciences is recruiting for a postdoctoral associate to join the research team at Magee-Womens Research Institute. The postdoc's research will be focused on pharmaceutical product development encompassing several areas. A primary focus of the candidate's work will involve conducting tissue permeability and transporter studies to to understanding the role of GAHT on antiviral pharmacokinetics but also toward the development of our PBPK modeling ongoing within the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant. The postdoctoral training experience will involve learning about product development, project management, as well as regulatory requirements for investigational new drug submissions. The postdoc will have the opportunity to participate in the transfer of products developed in the laboratory to clinical studies. Also, the postdoc will be required to present their research findings at lab meetings, and funder updates, and will be encouraged to present at national meetings. They will also be involved in data analysis, manuscript preparation, and report and grant writing activities.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in pharmacology or related fields; experience with pharmaceutical product development is preferred.
