Job Description
A Postdoctoral Associate position in Cancer Immunology is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jing Li at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Immunology, and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. The goal of the Li Lab is to unravel the molecular and cellular mechanisms driving immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment, with a particular focus on CD8+ regulatory T cells. The Li Lab will leverage cutting-edge technologies, mouse cancer models, and patient-derived specimens to drive scientific advancements in the field of Cancer Immunology and Human Immunology.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Li Lab, you will have the unique opportunity to work directly alongside Dr. Li and develop expertise in a wide array of techniques. You will also have the chance to refine your career-related skills, including oral presentations, manuscript preparation, and grant writing. Dr. Li is committed to fully supporting your professional development and will assist you in applying for postdoctoral fellowships or career development grants.
Qualifications: The Li Lab is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows who hold, or are about to obtain, a Ph.D. or MD degree in immunology, cancer biology, or relevant fields. Experience in immunological assays (e.g., flow cytometry and primary immune cell isolation and culture), mouse tumor models, and analyses of patient specimens will be highly valued.
