A NIH-funded Postdoctoral position in tumor immunology is available in Dr. Sandra Cascio's lab at Magee-Womens Research Institute, Department of ObGyn and Reproductive Sciences, University of Pittsburgh. 

Dr. Cascio's research program focuses on the inter-cellular communications between tumor cells and myeloid cells within the ovarian tumor microenvironment that induces immunosuppression and resistance to immunotherapies. 

Qualifications or Expectations

Successful candidates will have a recent Ph.D. or MD/PhD in basic immunology, molecular oncology, tumor biology, or other related fields. Candidates with a track record of peer-reviewed publications and prior experience in cell culture, primary immune cell isolation, flow cytometry, mono- and multi-IHC, and mouse tumor models are especially encouraged to apply. 

Duties or Responsibilities:

Candidate is expected to carry out independent projects to study the mechanisms of immune-oncology, publish scientific articles, present at scientific conferences, and train graduate students.
