About the Opportunity:
The Northeastern University-Moderna joint Post-Doctoral Fellow will be responsible for the preclinical toxicology and assessment of safety for the mRNA and lipid nanoparticle formulations for clinical development. She/he will contribute to evaluating cellular, tissue, and whole animal toxicological assessment of mRNA formulations at various stages of drug development. The Fellow will support the Pathology and Preclinical Safety Project Lead at Moderna on programs with high quantitative intensity and will collaborate closely with other groups towards successful preclinical and clinical programs. At Northeastern, the Fellow will be involved in publications, presentations, and mentoring junior level students in the laboratory.
Candidate Qualifications:
- A PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Bioengineering and related fields with strong background and experience in preclinical toxicological evaluations of pharmaceutical formulations, including in in vitro and in vivo assessment of safety in preclinical and clinical models.
- Ability to develop and deliver clear and concise presentations for both internal and external meetings.
- Publication record in preclinical toxicological assessment, especially related to nanoparticle formulations.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
