PRIMARY DETAIL
We seek to appoint an exceptional researcher, with a strong track record in health services research to work in the field of genomic applications in primary health settings.THE ROLE
Salary Package: base salary (Level A) $102,501 to $109,852 p.a., plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading
Appointment Type: Full time fixed term position for 2 years
Macquarie University: (Sydney) location
The successful applicants will join the Complex systems research stream and will work in the area of genomic applications.
About You
You will be an established qualitative or mixed methods researcher who has completed a PhD in an area associated with the project, e.g., health sciences research, psychology, social science. You will have experience in conducting research studies in your field of expertise and will have excellent writing and communication skills. You will have a passion for improving the lives of patients through evidence-based practice.

JOB IS FROM: postdocjobs.oneVIEWThe Centre for Healthcare Resilience and Implementation Science (CHRIS) is part of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI) within the Faculty and has a successful track record of undertaking research and evaluation projects on health sector issues since 1991. Its core interest is to investigate issues of policy, governance and leadership in the health sector. It is involved in conducting original research into implementation and quality and safety issues, providing a scholarly capability by which to evaluate health sector policies, programs and projects, and contributing to undergraduate medical, postgraduate health services management, and public health and doctoral education.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Essential criteria:
A PhD in a relevant discipline such as psychology, social science or a clinical discipline.
Demonstrated understanding of the Australian health system
A capacity to work with a range of stakeholders across healthcare including policy makers, managers, clinicians and consumers
Demonstrated ability to undertake qualitative and /or quantitative data collection and analysis
Ability to make a useful contribution to the academic life and administrative tasks of the Centre and Institute with some evidence of effective teamwork and leadership
Desirable criteria
Demonstrated capacity to present papers at conferences and workshops
Emerging track record of peer-reviewed publications
Expertise in the drafting of final reports including journal articles and technical reports
Experience with successful research student supervision
Experience in preparing Ethics and Site governance applications
Experience in primary health and/or experience in maternal or paediatric health, reproductive technologies, genetic screening, laboratory or clinical settings
