Job Description

 

The Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Associate.  Under the mentorship of Dr. Lindsay Sabik, Ph.D. postdoctoral associate will join a multidisciplinary team of researchers focused on cancer health services research that informs policies and practices aimed at improving access to and delivery of affordable, efficient, high-quality cancer care for all patients. The position will collaborate on funded projects, including a project funded by the National Institutes of Health examining the impact of rural hospital payment and delivery reform on cancer care and a project funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality analyzing the effects of the ACA on cancer care access. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate on new projects and proposals and take advantage of a strong environment for conducting health policy and health services research, including access to interdisciplinary mentorship, unique data resources, and seminars and training opportunities across the University of Pittsburgh.

Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree in health policy, health services research, economics, public health, or a related field. A record of publication as well as effective writing, oral communication, and statistical skills are required. The salary is based on NIH Guidelines and commensurate with skills and experience.
