Job Description
POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
PULMONARY MEDICINE & IMMUNOLOGY
A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available to study lung inflammation and injury during bacterial pneumonia that can induce acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and protective immune responses that can protect from injury. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to employ state-of-the-art techniques in immunology, and molecular biology including single-cell RNA sequencing technology, spatial imaging, and other related techniques employing wild-type and conditional gene knock-out mice and human samples. Animal models of bacterial pneumonia are already established in the lab. There will be significant help to get trained in the above techniques.
Qualifications. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in a biomedical or related field. Some experience in flow cytometry and molecular biology techniques will be helpful. Willingness to work with small animals is a prerequisite. The candidate should also have effective English writing and oral presentation skills. We strongly support the career development of our postdocs.
