JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Title: Postdoctoral Scholar
Department of Surgery, Division of Applied Biomedical Engineering
Summary of Job:
The Division of Applied Biomedical Engineering, Department of Surgery at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to study blood and bacterial interactions with a set of recently developed novel biomaterials. The candidate should possess a PhD and have knowledge of materials characterization, modification, and ideally will have some experience performing blood-materials or bacteria-materials assays. The candidate will have opportunities for personal growth and is expected to develop a postdoctoral development plan that will prepare them for an independent research career. The applicant will be expected to participate in division research meetings, prepare and submit peer-reviewed publications, assist with grant applications and attend scientific meetings.
