JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State's Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking a self-motivated Postdoctoral Scholar. The successful candidate will be expected to lead projects that address interesting and challenging algorithmic problems in computational biology. Please refer to the Shao Group website for a list of current research topics; the successful candidate may work on projects related to these research areas, but will also be encouraged and supported to define new projects.

Requirements and Qualifications

A Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, statistics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field is required by the start date. Demonstrated skill set in machine learning, algorithm design, and analysis will be highly advantageous.

Additional Information
