Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The nuclear theory group at Iowa State University is soliciting applications for a Postdoc Research Associate position to conduct research in theoretic nuclear physics. Our research group consists of four faculty (James P. Vary, Kirill Tuchin, Srimoyee Sen and Pieter Maris) as well as postdocs and graduate students. Our research interests are concentrated on QCD and strong interactions, including research on both perturbative and non-perturbative phenomena. In addition, we have an active nuclear experimental program.

This is a fixed term appointment expected to begin on July 1, 2024. The initial appointment is one year and may be renewable for a second year, contingent on funding.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree
Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD in physics on or before July 1, 2024.
• Experience in the areas of theoretical nuclear physics.
• Experience in quantum chromodynamics.
• A record of scholarly publication in areas of theoretical nuclear physics.
