The Penn State Department of Chemical Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar. The successful candidate will engineer genetic circuits for converting methane into biofuels in Dr. Thomas Wood's research lab at Penn State's University Park campus.
Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in chemical engineering, biological engineering, environmental engineering, systems engineering, or a related field by the start date.
Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment.
Excellent communication skills to deliver research verbally and in writing.
Additional Information:
This is a term appointment, funded for one year from date of hire, with a possibility of renewal. Renewal is dependent on availability of funds, the successful candidate's performance/progress, and their career goals (mentoring plans will be tailored to meet the individual's goals). The successful candidate's anticipated start date is May 1, 2024.
